Press Release: Race Roster, One of Six Companies, Handpicked for Silicon Valley Program

One of London’s fastest growing technology companies has been handpicked to participate in the Canadian Technology Accelerator, CTA SF, in San Francisco, California.

Starting in September Race Roster CEO Alex Vander Hoeven and Marketing Manager Dennis Mazajlo will fly to the West Coast. Race Roster is seeking strategic partners that can turn their fast growing company into a global brand in recreation technology.

Race Roster, a Canadian company that helps Running Events market, sell and fundraise online has found success with events across North America. Now, event organizers from international markets are reaching out to Race Roster while seeking a better solution for their events.

“We’re at a critical stage in our growth where we have an opportunity to go global. We need guidance from experienced founders in the Valley on what to expect, and what pitfalls to avoid” explained Alex Vander Hoeven, CEO and Cofounder of the company.

Race Roster follows in the footsteps of Voices.com as one of a small group of Canadian companies accepted into both the New York & Silicon Valley versions of the Canadian Technology Accelerator. Race Roster executives will work out of Rocket Space, a co-working facility, in San Francisco’s Financial District from September to December.

San Francisco is well known as part of Silicon Valley, the undisputed global hub for technology innovation that has helped start companies like Facebook, Airbnb, Uber and Dropbox. This opportunity, made possible by the Federal Government, is one that continues to have an incredible impact on the Canadian business economy through companies like Race Roster.

About Race Roster

Since November of 2011, Race Roster has helped over 2000 organizations grow their events, while saving them a significant amount of time and money. Race Roster employs 40 people, all focused on creating the best technology and customer experience for Event Organizers and participants. Unlike many of the competitors in the space, Race Roster focuses specifically on endurance events. Thus, the company’s staff is made up of ex-pro athletes, Canadian Olympic hopefuls, and, of course, technology experts. At the core, the team at Race Roster are Event Organizers and athletes serving Event Organizers and athletes.

Dennis Mazajlo

Dennis works on Sales, Marketing, and assists the Leadership Team with Strategic Planning at Race Roster. He is a ‘back in high school’ kind of runner that has toned down his intensity for the sport (and his abs) in recent years. Dennis gets excited about business, statistics, culture and event planning. (Fun fact: he was born as ‘Ingo’ – a pretty popular name in Germany).
